Davis Creek Cleanup - An Urban Tributary to the Kalamazoo RiverADOPT A RIVERThe Adopt-A-River initiative of the River Partners Program was established to create and lead a coordinated, responsible and enlightened system of local river keepers who are committed to the care and stewardship of the Kalamazoo River and its tributaries. Local community groups, interested citizens and a variety of businesses are invited to adopt sections of the river or its many tributaries for clean-up and improvement. Activities such as large scale river and streambank clean-ups, erosion control, wildlife habitat improvement and river education initiatives work to foster community pride, awareness and true cooperation. |
